We previously discussed the breaking news of TV host Heidi Klum's divorce from her singer husband Seal. The couple announced their separation last week and much speculation has surfaced regarding the reasons for the split.

Additional concerns have been raised regarding possible child custody issues that may arise during this divorce. Klum and Seal have three children together and Seal also adopted Heidi's 7-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. How custody will be divided between the couple is unclear because both spouses have very demanding careers that take them away from their base of Los Angeles.

Heidi Klum is the host of the hit show Project Runway, which usually films in New York. Klum also hosts Germany's Next Top Model and other events in her homeland. Seal is also set to visit Germany and several other European countries during a tour in support of his recently released album.

Regardless of how the child custody arrangement works out, both of the parents stressed to their children how much they are loved. Seal also said that it was important to avoid going into the details of the divorce because of the age of his children.

"The main thing is to make sure that they feel that they're loved, make sure that they understand that their parents love each other, make sure that they understand if there are any changes, it is absolutely nothing to do with them," Seal said.

Heidi and Seal have pledged to have an amicable divorce and stressed that their commitment will always be to place their children's best interest first.
